Watch videos (ESL strategies), take a 5 question quiz (based on the videos) , then record a 2min demo lesson. The smart interview is the fastest and easiest method for getting hired. I now highly recommend the smart interview!
Recently, VIPKID created a new option for completing the demo to move through the hiring process a bit faster. I recommend this option for all applicants. Prior to completing the interview practice practice practice TPR!!
Smart Interview Option Steps:
First complete the online application in the teacher portal. If you qualify for employment it will ask you to schedule a demo or record a demo. STOP here download the VIPKID app to your smart phone. Log into the app after downloading (use the same login info you used for the online teacher portal. You will watch videos and read information about ESL. Next you will take a quiz based on what you learned. You get 90 seconds to answer each question. There are 5 questions. You will then be shown 1 slide from the VIPKID curriculum. You will record yourself teaching just this one slide. Once you are happy with this recording click submit. You should get a response within 24hrs (if not then email them after 36hrs).
